FOR CAMPER OWNERS · NEWNAN, GEORGIA
What is RV rental consignment? How to make money renting out your camper in Georgia
You own the camper. We handle the rentals. You share in the revenue.

Your camper could be earning money when you’re not using it
Owning a camper opens the door to family vacations, days at the lake, and time spent exploring new places. But between trips, your camper may sit in the driveway or storage while payments, insurance, and maintenance expenses continue.
RV rental consignment gives owners another option. At White Oak Camper Rentals in Newnan, Georgia, our managed rental program helps owners explore rental income without personally managing every reservation.
What is RV rental consignment?
RV rental consignment is an arrangement where a camper owner partners with a rental management company to rent their RV to customers. The owner retains ownership and receives an agreed share of rental revenue. The management company handles the day-to-day rental operation.
It’s similar to hiring a property manager for a vacation rental: instead of managing a house, the company manages your camper. For owners who want to generate income without taking on another job, it can be worth considering.
How does consignment work at White Oak?
1. Tell us about your camper
We review the year, make, model, size, sleeping arrangements, amenities, overall condition, and suitability for rental use. Not every camper will be a fit. Our goal is a dependable fleet that gives renters a good experience.
2. Prepare it for rentals
Once accepted, we coordinate rental preparation: reviewing condition, documenting existing wear, confirming equipment functionality, and establishing cleaning and upkeep expectations. We discuss pricing, availability, and the responsibilities in the management agreement.
3. Market your camper
We promote the fleet through our website, Outdoorsy, RVshare, Facebook Marketplace, and social media. Rentals can serve vacations, camping trips, festivals, family gatherings, and other events. Multiple listing channels help customers discover the fleet.
4. Manage reservations and communication
Our team responds to inquiries, coordinates bookings and calendars, manages rental payments, and communicates with customers before, during, and after their trips. You don’t have to spend your evenings answering rental questions or arranging pickup times.
5. Coordinate delivery, setup, and return
White Oak offers delivery and setup within approximately 100 miles of Newnan. For applicable reservations, we coordinate getting the camper to its destination, campsite setup, and pickup. After the trip, we inspect and clean the camper and prepare it for its next reservation. Delivery depends on the destination, camper, and reservation requirements.
6. Receive your share of revenue
Owners receive 50% of nightly rental revenue. White Oak receives the other 50% for managing the rental operation. Owner payments are processed monthly. Storage at our Newnan facility is $100 per month and may be covered by rental earnings.
The management agreement explains how revenue, fees, expenses, storage deductions, and owner payments are calculated. Explore our managed rental program for the current offer.
What does White Oak handle?
A rental involves more than handing someone the keys. Our team manages the work from the first inquiry through the camper’s return.
- Marketing and reservations: Listings, inquiries, bookings, and calendar coordination across rental platforms.
- Customer communication: Trip preparation, rental expectations, and assistance during the reservation.
- Delivery and setup: Transportation, campsite setup, pickup, and return logistics for applicable bookings.
- Cleaning and inspections: Routine rental cleaning, check-in and checkout inspections, and preparation between trips.
- Payments and administration: Rental payments, applicable security deposit holds, and monthly owner payments.
- Maintenance coordination: General upkeep and maintenance concerns. Repair costs, authorizations, and owner expenses follow the management agreement.
- Insurance documentation: Applicable rental insurance verification and claims coordination. Coverage depends on the booking platform, policy, exclusions, and deductibles.
How much can you make renting out your camper?
Earnings depend on your camper’s condition, layout, amenities, nightly rate, availability, season, and customer demand. A larger camper may command a higher rate; a smaller one may appeal to customers with a tighter budget. Georgia rentals can serve spring festivals, fall trips, holiday gatherings, sporting events, and multi-day stays.
A hypothetical rental income example
| Rental activity | Amount |
|---|---|
| Nightly rental rate | $175 |
| Nights rented | 10 |
| Nightly rental revenue | $1,750 |
| Owner’s 50% share | $875 |
| Monthly storage | −$100 |
| Illustrative owner proceeds | $775 |
This illustration is not a projection or guarantee. It assumes the stated nightly rental revenue is fully included in the split and excludes other expenses and taxes. Actual bookings, rates, platform fees, maintenance, and other costs affect owner proceeds. Review payment calculations in the agreement.
If those same assumptions held for 12 months, the example would total $9,300. That does not account for seasonal variation. Rental income may help offset a payment, insurance, storage, or upkeep; it should be evaluated alongside the added costs of rental use.
Can you still use your camper?
It’s still your camper. Coordinate personal-use dates in advance so they can be blocked from rental availability, subject to existing confirmed reservations and your management agreement. Your camper can be available for your adventures and work for you between trips.
Is renting out your RV worth it?
Managing a rental yourself means creating listings, answering inquiries, scheduling trips, coordinating payments and delivery, cleaning, inspecting, and handling unexpected problems. Those responsibilities don’t end when a renter starts their trip.
A managed program reduces the work owners handle themselves. It also brings additional use, wear, and potential maintenance expenses. Consider those costs alongside likely earnings. If you prefer to keep your camper strictly for personal use, consignment may not be the right fit. If it sits unused for long stretches, it may be worth exploring.
